Rye Town Hall/Ypres Tower On our right is Rye Town Hall and in the Butter Market was an old Fire Engine Hand Pumped and Pulled. We are now in Market Street we will now turn right again and go down Church Street past the water cistern on our right and facing us are the Gungardens and to our left is the Ypres Tower also know as Baddings Tower which houses some of the Rye Museum if we walk past this and go into the Gun Garden we now have views of the River Rother and distant Views of Rye Harbour, Camber, Dungeness and many views across the Walland Marsh. |

Ferry Cottage If we now exit the Gungarden and turn right this will take us past the Public House called the Ypres Castle down onto the Salts, to our right is the old Rother Iron Works building and facing is Ferry Cottage. |

Final Word
